Visual search Superfish Inc. has raised $3.4 million from its current investors, Xenia Venture Capital Ltd. , Draper Fisher Jurvetson, DFJ Tamir Fishman Ventures Ltd. , and Silicon Valley-based International Venture Fund (IVF). The funding is part of a $4 million financing round that Superfish plans to close in December. Superfish’s technology uses images, instead of text, as items to search for online. Superfish president Adi Pinhas founded the company in 2006. Its first product, the Window Shopper is a browser add-on that uses proprietary visual search technology to help consumers find deals and other visually-similar items instantly while shopping. The product works on almost any product and on hundreds of shopping sites including Amazon.com , Best Buy, eBay Inc. , Macy’s, and Overstock.com. Superfish’s current index covers over 60 million products. http://www.globes.co.il/serveen/globes/docview.asp?did=1000599200&fid=1725
