Sialo Technology Israel Ltd. has completed development of its new dental implant and has begun building a prototype. The company also filed for a US patent for the implant, which if approved, will provide patent protection for up to 20 years. The new dental implant is adapted for insertion by Sialo’s proprietary direct line-of-sight dental endoscope, although the implant can be inserted without the endoscope. The implant can be used for the insertion of filling material into the jawbone, as well as for viewing insertion and treatment procedures.
