Skincare co Laline to open in Japan, Caribbean

After signing an agreement to open stores in the US and UK, skincare products company Laline Candles and Soap Ltd. is now expanding to Japan and the Caribbean. The chain has signed a franchise agreement with David Mogen Co. owned by a former Israeli Tony Levy to open 30 stores in Japan over the next five years. David Mogen, which manufactures and markets jewelry, has 40 stores around Japan. The first Laline store is expected to open in Tokyo before the end of 2010 at an investment of $1.5 million. At the same time, Laline has signed an agreement to open stores in the Caribbean, which will also be operated by a franchisee. Fifteen stores are planned over the next five years. Nova Measuring adds two new Asian customers

Nova Measuring Instruments Ltd. has reported the addition of two new standalone optical CD customers, one a foundry, the other a memory manufacturer, in the Asia Pacific region. The company, which provides stand-alone metrology and integrated metrology solutions to the semiconductor process control market, reported that one of the customers is a foundry and the other a memory manufacturer. NICE to supply security system to Delhi police

Video and voice transaction analysis firm NICE Systems Ltd. will supply an integrated security system solution to India’s Delhi Police. Indian company HCL Security Ltd., NICE’s strategic partner, is the project’s prime contractor. HCL will implement NICE’s integrated security solution at India’s Delhi Police. Website security co Applicure wins India deal

Applicure Technologies Ltd. said today that the company made a significant sale in India, as a Internet hosting services company bought 15 software licenses for its website protection dotDefender program. The Indian company, Herzliya-based Applicure’s first major customer in India, reviewed the software for three months. The firm in India supplies, among other things, hosting services for large sports websites in India.
